Why this site exists

Almost every page published about this passport quotes a destination count, and almost none explains how the count was made. The difference between 88 and 130 is not a dispute about facts — it is a difference in what gets counted, and the larger figures generally either predate 2023 or quietly include electronic visas, which are applications with fees like any other.

This site publishes the full list by region so the number can be checked rather than believed, states the convention it follows, and says plainly which destinations now require a visa.

The warning we put in writing

Diplomatic and official passports cannot be bought. They are issued to serving diplomats and officials for official duties, and the Citizenship Office has published warnings about Vanuatu diplomatic passports being marketed abroad. Anyone offering to sell one is committing fraud or facilitating it. A site that stays silent about this while selling adjacent services is not serving its readers.

Where the figures come from

The programme's own fee structure: US$130,000 for a single applicant, rising in defined steps for a spouse and each child, with US$25,000 for every further dependant, and US$5,000 payable before any background check and refunded in no circumstance. Set by regulation and identical whoever files.

What is not claimed

That an application will be approved — the Citizenship Commission decides. That the passport is stronger than it is. And no official status of any kind: where a Vanuatu authority is named here, it is named to describe what it does.
